Looking to extend your child’s learning over the summer? Through the Wyomissing Area School District’s STEAM Academy students will actively engage with their peers and teachers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.  

Students in grades K-8 are invited to participate in a wide variety of courses such as Life as a Hydrologist, The Great Desert Island STEAM Challenge, REAL Hands-on Math, Innovation Studio, en plein air, Learn to Code, and a whole lot more! Courses will be offered for the weeks of: June 14 - June 17, June 20 – June 23, June 27 – June 30, and July 5 – July 8.  Classes will be held for two hours and are offered in one of the following time slots: 9:00–11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Please find the WASD Summer STEAM Academy course selection booklet below with the courses and a short description listing course objectives and activities. Also included in the booklet is a class schedule with specific times and weeks in which each course will be running.

If you are interested in attending a course, simply fill out the registration form in the booklet and include payment. All completed registration forms can be turned in to the Wyomissing Hills Elementary Office or West Reading Elementary Office or a student's classroom teacher by June 9th.
