Summer STEAM Opportunities

WASD Summer STEAM Academy

Are you looking to extend your child’s learning over the summer?  Is your child a lover of science, technology, engineering, the arts or mathematics?  If so, the Wyomissing Area School District STEAM Academy is for you!

Students currently in grades K-8 are invited to participate in a wide variety of courses this summer.  Participate in classes like Introduction to Theater Arts, Public Art in West Reading, Rockets and Robotics, Mythology, Mathematics, Software Design, Statistics, and much more!  Classes are offered from June 18 – June 21, June 25 – June 28, and July 2 – July 6.  Each class lasts 2 hours.  Classes are available during the following time slots: 9:00 – 11:00 am, 11:30 – 1:30 pm, and 1:30 – 3:30 pm.

2018 Summer STEAM Academy

WASD/RACC - STEAM Summer Learning Camp

WASD in partnership with RACC will offer two STEAM Summer Learning Camps for current 8th and 9th grade students for the 2017-2018 school year. The camps are a week long and will be held at the Schmidt Training and Technology Center at the Reading Area Community College.

During the camps, students will participate in project based learning experiences in the RACC science laboratories.

Session I; June 25 - 29, 2018

Session II; July 16 - 20, 2018
