Trout in the Classroom at WREC!
Posted on 05/13/2024
Our Spartans at WREC brought their “Trout in the Classroom” project full circle on Earth Day. Ms. Kupiszewski, Mrs. Kline, and their students released 50 rainbow trout into the Wyomissing Creek! The trout eggs came to WREC in January.
Students watched the trout go through their life cycle of egg, alevin, and on to their current juvenile size of three inches. Students monitored the chemical levels of the aquarium in the classroom. Trout in the Classroom is a special program sponsored by the Berks County Conservation District. Bon Voyage to the trout!
