WYOMISSING AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT SAT 12/5/2020

INFORMATION FOR REGISTERED STUDENTS

Wyomissing Area is still an open test center for the 12/5/2020. Should the center close, cancelations will be posted on the district website and the College Board website. It is recommended that students/ parents check frequently for test center updates as the pandemic continues to evolve.

College Board has released requirements and safety protocols for test centers and students who are testing. Students and parents are advised to read the full description of guidelines at https://pages.collegeboard.org/sat-covid-19-updates. Student and staff safety are of extreme importance throughout the test administration. Any student violating test/safety protocols or any student who appears ill will be dismissed from the test center. Should a student feel ill the day of the exam, stay home. College Board will assist students with rescheduling the test.

All students entering the Wyomissing Area Test Center will be required to adhere to the following safety protocols and procedures:

  • All students will be asked a series of College Board required COVID safety screening questions upon entrance to the test center. More information about these questions can be found on the College Board website. Students and parents are required to follow the guidance from the PA Health Department regarding travel outside of the state. Because the quarantine period would go beyond the 12/5 test, if you are traveling the week prior, please contact College Board to reschedule your test.
  • All staff and students in the test center MUST wear a mask or protective face covering at all times while waiting outside of the test center, in the test center, and in the testing room. This is required for the duration of the test. Failure to comply will result in dismissal from the test center. The face covering must fit over the mouth and nose and be secured behind the ears or head with straps. No neck gaiters or bandanas allowed.
  • Due to the number of safety measures in place, the test center will open at 7:15am for check-in and completion of the required College Board COVID screening.Students should plan to arrive between 7:15am-7:50am. Entry doors will close at 8am. Entry will be through the side gymnasium doors, and students are reminded to keep a 6ft. distance while waiting in line. In an effort to avoid crowding outside, students should not arrive any earlier than 7:15am.
  • Photo ID and Registration Ticket are required for entrance. Please review acceptable photo ID and registration ticket requirements on the College Board website. Students who report without acceptable photo ID or an admission ticket will be denied entry. Although College Board is allowing students to produce an electronic version of the admission ticket, it is recommended that all students report with a printed copy of the admission ticket. The information is required when completing the answer sheet, and students are not permitted access to electronic devices once in the testing room.
  • Electronic devices are not permitted in the test room. Devices will be collected and stored in individual bags marked with the student’s name throughout the time in the test room.

Thank you for your adherence to the above guidelines so that we can provide a safe testing environment for students.
