Bus Rules

  • Students must be at their designated bus stop five minutes prior to pick up. 
  • Remove your backpack from your back before boarding the bus and carry it onto the bus.
  • Keep the bus aisles clear at all times. All objects (book bags, instruments, projects, etc.) must be kept on your lap, not in the aisle. If the object is too large for your lap and there is no vacant seat on which to place it, it is the parent's/guardian's responsibility to transport the object.
  • Sit quietly in your assigned seat.
  • Follow the driver's directions promptly.
  • Help keep the bus clean and in good condition.
  • NO eating, drinking, or chewing gum.
  • NO loud talking, swearing, or rude gestures.
  • NO standing or changing seats.
  • NO fighting, pushing, or violence.
  • NO throwing of paper or other items.

VIOLATIONS

  • First violation/initial response: Student warned by driver.
  • Second violation: Conference with principal.
  • Third violation: Child suspended from school bus riding privileges for 3 consecutive school days.
  • Fourth violation: Child suspended from school bus riding privileges for 5 consecutive school days.
  • Fifth violation: School bus riding privileges suspended for the year.
