A dedication event will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, directly following the football game.  All community members are welcome to attend. Please check this page regularly for additional information as the date approaches.

On April 24, 2023 the Wyomissing Area Board of School Directors dedicated the WASD Stadium Field as “Bob Wolfrum Field”.  This action recognizes the outstanding service that Coach Wolfrum has provided to the Wyomissing Area School District (WASD) for the past fifty years.  Highlights of Coach Wolfrum’s contributions include:

• 50 years of service as a football coach at WASD, including the last 36 seasons as head coach
• 33 years of service to WASD as a physical education teacher and dean of students
• Coach Wolfrum’s Spartan teams have won 350 games, which places Coach Wolfrum at the top of all football coaches in PIAA District 3 history
• Coach Wolfrum’s Spartan teams have won 19 league titles, 11 District Championships, and the 2012 PIAA State Championship
• Coach Wolfrum’s Spartan teams have compiled a home regular season record of 147-26-1 and a home playoff record of 18-0
• Coach Wolfrum’s Spartan teams have consistently demonstrated tremendous preparation, strong fundamentals and discipline, team play over individual accomplishments, and excellent sportsmanship
• Coach Wolfrum has provided a lifetime of contributions to the WASD community, and Saturday afternoon football games have allowed generations of Spartans to gather and connect
