Wyomissing AreaSchool District

On April 24, 2023, the Wyomissing Area Board of School Directors dedicated the WASD Stadium Field as “Bob Wolfrum Field”. This action recognizes the outstanding service that Coach Wolfrum has provided to the Wyomissing Area School District (WASD) for the past fifty years.

On February 24 and 25, the Junior High Drama Club presented a wonderful performance of Once Upon a Mattress. Student Director Jace Carwll shared that they valued the leadership opportunity and learning experience of being a student director and that they appreciated the way that participating in the Drama Club provides opportunities for students to push themselves out of their comfort zones. The Drama Club “is like a big family.”

A student-favorite tradition continued this school year in late December as our High School Student Council members, along with advisor Mr. Krick and teacher Ms. Tierney, volunteered at the Salvation Army Holiday Gift site.

A group of students in AP Environmental Science and AP Biology attended Wilkes University’s Environmental Science Day. They toured the college campus, explored labs in the Cohen Science Center, and enjoyed a complimentary lunch with current students, faculty, and staff.

On Veterans Day, students and staff at the West Reading Elementary Center and the Wyomissing Hills Elementary Center honored our service members.

Spirit week is an annual highlight at the Jr./Sr. High School. Students and teachers come together in a fun, spirited, and competitive way.

Students at the West Reading Elementary Center have been working on service projects all year. In the beginning of the year, students Anthony DeNada, Andrew Boeger, and Max Strock wanted to find a service project that would benefit the community.

A group of gifted students at the West Reading Elementary Center began working on a school newspaper earlier in the year.
