Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School is proud to recognize Samantha Zechman for being named a Semi-Finalist in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program. Samantha serves as vice-president of the senior class and is a member of Model UN and student council. She is the captain of the field hockey team and plays lacrosse. Samantha also volunteers for Big Spartan/Little Spartan and is a volunteer coach and referee with youth field hockey. Samantha is looking forward to majoring in psychology after high school.
Congratulations to senior William “Rocky” Oberti for being named a Scholar in the National Hispanic Recognition Program. To earn this recognition, Rocky scored in the top 2.5 percent among all Hispanic and Latino PSAT test-takers in our region. When he is not focused on academics, Rocky enjoys spending time with friends and listening to music. Rocky is looking to attend either the University of Pittsburgh or the University of California, Santa Barbara, to major in computer engineering.

Dr. Corey Jones, Principal, presented a letter of commendation to this scholastically talented senior from the high school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program.
