Wyo Wishes: We welcome your participation!

Dear WASD Community,
As you have seen on ParentSquare, we have brought a new program to the district called 'Wyo Wishes'. This is very similar to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, where you can take a tag and shop for a child, family, or elderly person in need, but 'Wyo Wishes' provides for our very own WASD students. We allowed families to self-identify that they could use a little extra help this holiday season and submit “wishes” on behalf of their children. Each family was able to submit three wishes and was asked to keep each one under $50. We also collected student shirt and pant sizes.
When families pick up their gifts on December 16th, we will also have food and other necessities from our Spartan Station available to meet the additional needs of our community.
If your family can give a little this holiday season, we would welcome your participation in our 'Wyo Wishes' program. We will have a limited number of ornament tags to give to community members who would like to shop for a student that will be given out on a first come-first serve basis. If you do not want to shop, but would like to donate, we would welcome that to help us supplement what our staff purchases and to buy wrapping paper and supplies for families. Checks can be made out to WASD and given to Dr. Jessica Lengle at the District Office. If you have any questions about the program or would like to request a tag, please reach out to Dr. Lengle at jlengle@wyoarea.org.
We thank you for your help in helping us support our Wyomissing Area community! We are stronger together!
