Dear Wyomissing Area School District Families and Community Members,

It is with deep sadness that we continue to mourn the loss of Dr. Jones, a beloved leader, educator, parent, and member of the Wyomissing community. His impact on our schools and on the lives of our students, staff, and families is immeasurable.

In honor of Dr. Jones’ life, service, and lasting legacy, the Wyomissing Area School District will be closed on Thursday, January 29. This closure will allow our staff the opportunity to pay their respects and provide space for reflection as our community honors a leader whose compassion and commitment shaped Wyomissing Area in meaningful ways.

Dr. Jones believed deeply in relationships, in caring for one another, and in ensuring that every student felt known, supported, and valued. While we grieve his passing, we are grateful for the example he set and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
