Celebrating the Class of 2019 During Wyomissing Area Senior High’s 95th commencement ceremony, 150 graduates received their diplomas on Friday, June 7, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Student speakers included Valedictorian Joanna Helm, Salutatorian Benjamin Chen, President of the Class of 2019, Fanny Ortiz, Class Secretary, Grace Gleason, Class Treasurer, Mia Huber, and Class Vice President, Samantha Zechman. Joanne Helm addressed her peers, “Let us all remember to start each day with grateful hearts and let us go into this exciting new chapter with a voracious will to live.” Benjamin Chen shared, "This class has been one of the most passionate and caring in Wyomissing Area history. Grace Gleason recalled advice from her parents, "Remember who you are and what you represent." "The Class of 2019 will be remembered for its commitment, dedication, and excellence in academics, athletics, the arts and community service," said Dr. Corey Jones, principal.
